Half-Day Bonanza GPS
Training Session
Lee Elson, Bonanza owner and CFII, is offering a half day session designed to take you beyond the use of "direct to" with your GPS. Tailored to your avionics and airplane, this brief session will cover both relevant basic operating principles and the use of GPS in the IFR environment. The following GPS units can be used in this training: UPSAT/Apollo GX 50, 55, 60, 65 Garmin GNS 430, 480, 530 Honeywell KLN 89b The session is especially well suited for the pilot taking the 2 day Bonanza recurrent training session, who is not as proficient in the use of GPS as he/she would like. It is best to schedule the GPS session before the 2 day recurrent session. The training will involve both ground and flight instruction. Pilots who wish to use their GPS in the IFR environment must have an approach approved GPS unit with a current database. The cost of this special training program is $295. This cost does not include lodging, food, ground transportation or airport fees. For more information contact: Lee Elson 775-267-9371 |
